Located just outside the town centre of Stafford, Staffordshire, No.5 is a traditional restaurant that offers fine English Fare and a Specials board that boasts a few international dishes. Dating back to the 18th century, the restaurant is housed in an old bottling barn.

A family run restaurant, the emphasis is on good quality dining, home cooked food, a relaxed atmosphere and attractively priced wines.

The menu at No.5 is a traditional A la Carte menu, offering such dishes as Pan-fried Duck breast, Roast Lamb Rump or Tournedos Rossini ( the signature dish of Head Chef and proprietor Simon Cotterill ). Also to be found on the Specials board most weeks, a selection of fresh fish dishes - from Tempura Battered Cod to Fresh Lobster. A variety of game dishes are available throughout the season and for the more daring, Fillet of Kangaroo, Ostrich and Crocodile can be found when available. All puddings are home made; Baileys and Malteser cheesecake is a firm favourite with regular diners.

The wine list is both extensive and reasonably priced; dessert wines, liqueur coffee, traditional coffee and after-dinner liqueurs are also available.

No.5 is a two-floor, 70 cover restaurant. There is no quick turnaround on these tables; your table is yours for the evening. At No.5 we want you to enjoy an unrushed, memorable evening. There is also a function room available upstairs for hire, which is available for large parties, weddings, conferences, etc.
